Hi David,
Thanks for the info as it seems the testing i'm doing will be of no
use to this mailing list. Are there currently and formats that you
are working on that you would like sample files for?
There is a list of existing libraries and suggested formats at
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/DLP/Libraries . We need files for
regression tests for most of the newer libraries (we use files collected
from various sources, but these cannot be put into a public repository
because of unclear license status). Concretely, we need files for:
AbiWord, CorelDRAW (all versions), MS Publisher, Visio and Works
Spreadsheet (all versions), Adobe Freehand (all versions). It would also
be nice to have more test files for many of the formats supported by
libe-book and libmwaw (or any test file in some cases). These should
ideally be small files, each covering one isolated feature (or
sub-feature) of the format. And the whole set should cover all the major
features. As these would be published in a regression test repository,
we need an acknowledgement that they are available under CC-BY-SA
(http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/) license.
We also need files for introspecting unknown formats, e.g., these on the
"suggested" list, but not limited to it. We are not committed to write
a filter for any particular format. But having some files (even better,
a person who can create more on request) definitely promotes the chance
for that happening :-) As these files would only be used for our
internal needs, any file is fine, regardless of its source. Of course,
minimal documents are much better here too. (Actually, several
variations of the same document are even better; e.g., a sligtly
moved or resized shape, some characters added to a paragraph, etc.)
