I would assume you'd be able to run works on wine. Found someone who thinks they may have an old laptop with it on it, so if you could tell me what kind of samples you need, i could have him create them.

Yes, I have already used dos/wine emulation to launch some oldest versions of Microsoft Works but not the latest versions, mainly by lack of time, motivation and because I am not sure that I can really
consider that the newest versions of Microsoft Works are abandonware …


Well i think version 6 to 9 maybe the ones to focus on as MS Office can produce that version of works files. I checked version 9 compatibility on wine and it was rated silver in the end of 2012, so i assume any other versions should run smoothly.
